The Tree House is not only one of the best sets LEGO has ever made, alongside Central Perk, but also the highlight of the Ideas Program so far. For many, Ideas was surely the shining series in the LEGO program at the time, a creative glimmer of hope. However, after BTS Dynamite and the Table Football, I’m not sure how many people would attest to that today.

Back to Tree House: what it does above all is to brilliantly combine enormous size and attention to detail in one set. The LEGO designers achieve this through a trick: they have produced a giant set, but then created three tiny buildings that are so small that they can detail every square inch of the interior.
