Opinion
The LEGO designers have managed to go down a different path with the Imperial TIE Fighter. They shrunk the set compared to its predecessors without sacrificing any of its magic, look or function.
Instead of more pieces or the same number of pieces at a higher price - which is the usual recipe - they have managed to create something smaller that works just as well, both to look at and to play with. For children, the compact form is a dream for flight maneuvers. It looks great and a good selection of minifigures round off the whole thing.
Less is more here! The Imperial TIE Fighter is a great set with a good price-performance ratio that contains everything you would expect from a starfighter.
