LEGO - Star Wars™ Executor Super Star Destroyer | Set 75356

LEGO has created far too few medium-sized display models of Star Wars capital ships until now. Therefore, the fact that something is finally happening here with the Executor Super Star Destroyer is more than just welcome.

The LEGO team has also done a wonderful job here! The shapes are magnificent, the surfaces are brilliantly implemented, and the building techniques are elegant. The accompanying flying UCS Imperial Star Destroyer escorts are surprisingly true to scale and are among the best I have seen in this size. The engines are fantastically implemented, and the bounty hunter Easter egg is funny. I am so enthusiastic about all this this that I am almost ready to forgive all the rainbow pieces on the inside.

The stand is also well done, but the Tile 4 x 4 as a plaque looks a bit weird. That the stand also has preparations for minifigures is welcome, but unfortunately, there are none included. This is a missed chance, especially since two figures should have been included at this price point.

Although it is certainly ten Euros too expensive, it is still a great set. I hope LEGO makes many more of these.
