The Village forge from BlueBrixx is one of these sets that has quite different opinions on the difficulty level. For some, the thatched roof is a real nightmare, comparable to the tree of the Old water mill. Others have a lot of fun with it and can’t see any problems. In this specific case, I am one of the latter.
Regardless, we have once again a typical design by Martin in front of us. A high level of detail and interesting building techniques are there, as well as a realistic medieval look.
Aside from the thatched roof, I find the timber framing especially well done here. Once again, with a slightly different building technique and a diverse appearance. Regular pieces are almost non-existent in this set.
Personally, if I had to choose, I would give preference to the Old water mill, which is even more refined in its technique, or The Golden Goblet Inn, which I like visually better. However, that would be a shame because the Village forge is definitely worth the money.
