Opinion
The keep was the first expansion that you could buy for Blaustein Castle. The set differs from the other expansions in several key aspects. It has only about 2000 pieces and not 5000, unfortunately still the lesser of the two BlueBrixx piece qualities and no building sections.
But one should not be discouraged by this. The keep is an essential expansion, as it transforms Blaustein into a real castle. It is also visually well done, the building techniques are interesting, although they can cause some headaches especially on the back wall.
The keep is also exciting for those who want to tinker with the Blaustein, but don’t have the space for the other expansions.
Overall, a very decent expansion, which, however, is a bit overshadowed by its larger siblings.
