Opinion
BlueBrixx’s Medieval Building Site is an exciting set. We don’t often see unfinished buildings on the menu. But designer Marco P. has created an impressive set here, incredibly full of details.
It’s hard to fit that many pieces into a set this size. Of course, that also includes many grass pieces, which are in typical BlueBrixx Specials quality, have little clamping force and are called “jumping grass” by many not without reason.
It’s also a shame that the upper floor of the main building cannot be removed. Furthermore, I wish the crane would be a bit more mobile.
However, the overall visual impression of the finished construction site makes more than up for these minor shortcomings. What’s more important though, is that such a construction site is wonderfully suited to bringing more life and variety to the medieval village. The set manages to do so without any minifigures. Not an easy feat.
