Opinion

The Acropolis offers the most spectacular building experience in the BlueBrixx Architecture series so far. What designer Anton has accomplished here with his wall wrapped around a mountain is astonishing.

After a conservative construction of the mountain and the SNOT (Studs Not On Top) plateau of the Temple Mount, we are building the walls in two sections, then wrap them around the mountain and fix them to 2-3 studs. This has little to do with traditional brick-by-brick building.

The excitement comes from the fact that during construction, you cannot imagine that this craziness can even work. The brick-system is not made for this kind of thing. But it does work! The wall snaps together as if it were entirely natural to build that way.

Unfortunately, I had some clamping issues with the pieces in this set. This caused some problems, particularly with such an ambitious design, and unnecessarily reduced the building experience.

The price is also not ideal for this set. Both the St. Peter's Basilica and Forum Romanum are better in this regard.
