Opinion
The Viva Hypercar, designed by Thijs de Boer, is another Technic giant from CaDA. Such large sets, which originate from a MOC (My Own Creation), are never easy to build.
However, the Viva Hypercar is built in modules. This makes the construction itself more pleasant, but also enables quick dismantling in case of errors. This is especially useful here as the set comes already with several of them. Some of them can be corrected with extra pieces, though. The most serious ones are the malfunctioning gearbox and the too small front wheel-arch.
Apart from that, we have some excellent features in the set, from an adaptive suspension to a stylish V12. The building techniques to achieve the angled shapes are simply amazing.
In addition, CaDA has put only black and red pieces in the box, so there is no annoying blue flashing out of the set.
The quality of the technical pieces is excellent. However, the system pieces do not have enough clutch in some places to properly support the challenging building-technics. Especially the rear should better not be touched.
