Opinion
The HEA-ON-JEA Villa from Mork, designed by ohsojang, is typical in many ways. On one hand, we have a fantastical design, full of magnificent construction techniques, fine details and stunning visuals that make it one of the most beautiful modulars I have ever seen. The modularity has also been skillfully implemented by ohsojang.
On the other hand, we have the extremely mediocre Xingbao pieces, with lots of clamping force problems, milky windows, and endless micro scratches. The manual was also extremely difficult to read, with all its color problems.
Mork doesn’t even bother to revise the colorful pieces of the original MOC (My Own Creation) design, which is a common Technic in MOCs (My Own Creations), to signal to the builder: “You can take whatever you have in your collection”. Not needed here!
Digital instructions are also still in short supply.
All in all, as said, it’s typical. A brilliant design, with a limited building experience and only mediocre value for the price. For this money, you can get better pieces from other manufacturers.
