Opinion
What happens when you lift the LEGO Winter Holiday Train to the 8-stud format and add even more kitsch? The Christmas Train from Mould King could be the answer to that. This train has a very unique appearance with an abundance of sparkling bling in various rainbow colors. You have to like that.
As a train, the set works ok. The motorization, including the battery box, allows for continuous speed control, tracks are already included, and there is also lighting. Additionally, the Christmas tree spins during the ride. However, the train is slightly too large for regular curve radii and children can easily derail it. Therefore, it is only partially suitable as a toy under the Christmas tree.
The parts from GoBricks are of very good quality as always, but the instructions are often difficult to read. The wiring is barely explained and the many black parts of the locomotive do not make the assembly any easier.
