Opinion
The shapes of Mould King’s
Veyron model actually depict the original quite well. However, it is also a good example of how that doesn’t necessarily have to be a good thing. The Bugatti is simply a very bulky car, and that doesn’t look good in building blocks. The whole car somehow appears boring and uninspired. The two-tone wheels don’t convince me at all; they give off more of an 80s Volkswagen vibe than a supercar.
In the rear area, the intriguing hint of the taillights is appealing, and the diffuser comes across nicely. A real highlight is the metallic parts of the engine, which still shimmer quite nicely. The ability to play around with the angle here to see more of the engine invites exploration.
It’s a shame that Mould King only has the black grille as a sticker.
Apart from the chassis platform, which can be deduced from the deep craters around the injection points, the parts come from GoBricks. As always, they are very good.
Mould King always includes a display case for these cars. Whether one likes the plastic cases is a matter of taste.
