CaDA - SUZUKI JIMNY | Set C62001W

The concept of CaDA offering a motorizable vehicle made of system pieces has got my interest. This hybrid of a system vehicle, and functional Technic works very well. The Technic provides functionality and stability, and the system pieces a sleek look. The SUZUKI JIMNY is surprisingly versatile and can be used both both as a stylish display model or for driving around.

However, the concept is not yet fully developed. The turning radius is impractically huge, and the motorization is not part of the main instructions but has been documented more like an upgrade.

Otherwise, the SUZUKI JIMNY doesn’t have many weaknesses. You have to like the color, but the design is wonderfully fresh and varied with the optional roof rack. In addition, there are nice building techniques, with the door Hinges being the coolest I’ve ever seen.

It is a shame that, as usual with CaDA, only stickers and no prints are provided, which also makes the Suzuki license somewhat unnecessary.

The high-quality overall package from CaDA combined with a good price-performance ratio rounds off the whole thing and makes it stronger offer than LEGO’s Land Rover Classic Defender 90.
