Opinion

The Alfa Romeo™ F1 Team ORLEN C42 by CaDA is a big step towards a well-represented brick-built Formula 1 racing car. This is mainly due to the new slick tires and printed rims. The investment in more pieces compared to LEGO’s McLaren™ Formula 1 Race Car and CaDAs own predecessor Formula Race Car has certainly helped as well. It is unfortunate that the set also has over 70 stickers, but so far no manufacturer has really made progress in this area. To bad that CaDA did not use them to include numbers for all the drivers of the racing team.

Other than that, we have a really good set with a cool box, a printed plaque, and very good pieces. Unfortunately, some of the side elements built with system bricks are a bit unstable. The car is not intended for electrification.

The building process is fun, although the building sections are very large and most of the pieces are black. It looks good, but it means more searching effort than with most other sets.
