Cobi has given us a lot of flexibility with their first 4-in-1 battleship. Whether it’s Iowa, New Jersey, Missouri, or Wisconsin - everyone certainly has a ship that is most important, be it for anecdotal reasons or historical context. The main difference, however, lies mostly in a handful of prints with partially slightly different deck structures. But that’s enough.
Cobi has also delivered a fine model. The ship comes in Dark Gray, which we don’t know from the European or Japanese ships. However, the deck is also colored this way. For World War II, this is correct, but personally I would have preferred a bare wood deck from the post-war era.
Of course, Cobi also has their high-quality pieces in the box, a good manual, also digital, and the best shipbuilding experience on the market. However, there is still no interior in this model.
The battleship, which is certainly the most well-known alongside Bismarck and Yamato, was perfectly implemented by Cobi. The fact that it was built by a democracy and not a human rights-abusing dictatorship is included for free.
The world's most famous American Iowa-class battleships in one excitingEXECUTIVE EDITION set! You decide which of the four ships you want to build! In the box you will find bricks with individual ship markings, bricks for design changes, and a set of four exclusive black nameplates!
Which of them will be on your shelf? Or maybe all four? The Iowa-class battleships are four ships ordered by the US Navy from 1939-1940 to conduct joint operations under the so-called high-speed fleet teams (Task Force). From the moment of their inception, the battleships took part in all wars conducted by the USA until the end of the 20th century. It was onboard the USS Missouri (BB-63) on September 2, 1945, that the act of surrender of the Empire of Japan was signed, officially ending World War II. The battleships served with interruptions in the reserve fleet and on the front line until 2006. Currently, each of these ships is open to the public for visiting as a museum and a living legend!A model made of COBI construction blocks in a scale of 1: 300 is a real challenge for all builders. It consists of 2685 elements and requires several hours of intense and exciting assembly. It is exactly 92 cm (36.2 ") long and 20.5 cm (8") high. It has movable elements such as artillery turrets and gun barrels, propellers and a rudder. High-quality prints make it possible to capture even more details that make the block-shaped ship look extremely attractive! Thanks to the intuitive instructions based on illustrations, the construction is simple and does not cause any problems. During construction, you choose one of four possible ship variants. The set includes a special block display stand with the names of the ships printed on four different plates. The model looks very impressive on it, no one will be unimpressed! The legendary Iowa-class battleship will be a unique decoration for any collection of history, maritime vessels and military enthusiasts. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI.
