Opinion

Admittedly, the Giganotosaurus by Forange does not weigh the 6 to 7 tons that its namesake probably had. But with almost 1900 parts, it still creates an impressive dinosaur. Fans of the genre will get their money’s worth. The designers have not only created a very stylish dinosaur, but have also made it stable and mobile despite its size.

The parts are decent, but cannot quite compete with those of Panlos or LEGO. The brown color in this set differs from that of other manufacturers. This can be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on if and how you want to use the parts for other purposes.

The set even includes a few printed parts, such as the plaque and the eyes, which the significantly more expensive European competition sometimes fails to achieve.

The instructions, with their color inaccuracies, are the weakness of the set, which can make the building process somewhat exhausting at times.

The Giganotosaurus is available from EU retailers for about 60 euros, which is a really good price for what it offers.
