Opinion
Funwhole’s A-Frame Cabin gets many things right. Compared to LEGO’s A-Frame Cabin, the design is respectably large, and the interior is fully tiled. The color choice is solid and there are some witty building techniques to realize nice details such as the furniture. However, overall, the design cannot compete with LEGO’s A-Frame Cabin when it comes to details.
What bothers me more is the lack of modularity: none of the roofs can be removed. In the larger part of the building, the rear wall is missing, allowing for insights. Presumably, the wiring for the lighting is responsible for that. However, the same manufacturer also produces retrofit solutions for LEGO modulars that do not compromise modularity.
Equally surprising are some visible cables inside, which the company manages again better with retrofit solutions.
On the positive side, there is the very high-quality Funwhole package, the good pieces, which can keep up with LEGO except for the micro scratches, and the really good price-performance ratio.
