Opinion
The Lakeside Lodge is one of the three sets from the short phase where Funwhole no longer used GoBricks pieces. This has made some in the community a bit uncertain and even I hesitated for a while before I built it.
The pieces in this set are quite good though and the fears were unfounded. Yes, they are not quite on the level of the pieces from GoBricks, LEGO, Panlos or Cobi, but not far from it either. They are significantly better than the pieces that BlueBrixx sources, for example.
Everything else is typical Funwhole anyway: Great design, high-quality presentation, packaging and of course the included lighting make a well-rounded package.
Unfortunately, the wiring is not well hidden again, and the attic cannot be opened. I don’t mind that the back wall is missing, though.
