In 2022, the Lion Knights' Castle finally arrived with a powerful dose of nostalgia in tow. It is above all a brick-made childhood dream, a tribute to the golden age of the Castle series. A fan service, no more and no less, for the adult and now financially powerful customer.

With its mountain of great minifigures, a serious building experience without rainbow-colored pieces craziness and perhaps the most adult and best instructions I have ever seen from LEGO, a good selection of pieces and a good number of Easter eggs it has become a great product.

The team also tried to transport old LEGO designs into the modern age. But that didn’t quite work. It looks a bit crude, and its building techniques are too simple for an adult set in 2022. The LEGO team had the right idea, but unfortunately didn’t think it through. Many MOCs (My Own Creations) that take up old LEGO themes are already much further.
