Opinion

The Battle of Trafalgar would go down in history as the end of Napoleon’s ambitions to conquer the British Isles. The British have build a monument to their naval hero Horatio Nelson and the many men who, like him, fell in the battle. The LEGO set has more than lived up to the memorable location, and it remains one of my favorite Architecture sets to this day.

Despite its very small scale, everything that belongs to the place is there: the National Gallery, the Nelson Column, the lions, the fountains, and of course, the typical buses must not be missing.

In addition, clever building techniques, such as Stairs made of loosely stacked 1 x 4 x 1 Panels, have amazed me. The set has no stickers and instead features some cool prints that give the National Gallery a nice Easter egg function.

A beautiful design, great colors, clever building techniques, accurate representation of the original. One can’t ask for more from an Architecture set. It’s about time LEGO does something like this again.
