LEGO - Ideas Red London Telephone Box | Set 21347

The Red London Telephone Box has a nice design. I really liked how beautifully the LEGO designer captured the iconic K2. The 100-year-old industrial design still works today and was skillfully captured.

LEGO’s ability to produce the best Trans-Clear parts adds to the heavily windowed design. The pretty flower pots bring a colorful cheerfulness, and the very typical black iron elements complete the package.

I also really liked the texture of the floor, both on the outside, where a very simple building technique achieves a lot, and on the inside of the cell with the black and white tiles.

It’s a shame that mainly stickers are used on the inside. On the outside of the cell, everything is printed, though.

The building experience has some highlights, such as the surprisingly simple SNOT (Studs Not On Top) construction of the roof with the Light Brick. However, there is also a lot of repetition to deal with.

In terms of price, we don’t get much material for our money. In the van Gogh or Space Age sets, there is a lot more material per Euro. You can feel that: Red London Telephone Box is surprisingly little for 115 euros. Admittedly, it looks good.
