LEGO - Star Wars™ AT-AT | Set 75288

LEGO probably always has to have an AT-AT in their lineup. Like Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter and Millennium Falcon, it’s surely a standard product that will always have a certain demand. You can tell that: The set is well done, the folks in Billund simply know how it’s done.

The current edition once again has Hoth as its theme, with Snow Troopers, a well-done Speeder Bike, and General Veers in tow.

The shapes of the AT-AT itself are well done as well, with nice play features: from Luke being able to pull himself up to toss the mine, to a bike garage, movable head and legs, and a well-accessible troop compartment.

There are colorful pieces, although I’ve seen worse with Star Wars playsets. What bothers me more, is the price of the set. Although there’s now a much better-priced AT-TE Walker on the market, LEGO has made the already-overpriced AT-AT (All Terrain Armored Transport) even more expensive.

The good thing is that this makes it easy for me with my recommendation: Buy the AT-TE Walker instead!
