LEGO - Star Wars™ The Mandalorian & the Child | Set 75317

The Mandalorian & the Child is currently the oldest Star Wars Brickhead set still available and will likely stay until late 2023. Its unusually long lifespan is probably due to the great popularity of The Mandalorian series, which almost single-handedly helped Disney+ become a tremendous success and reconciled many fans with Disney as the new steward of the Star Wars license.

LEGO’s set does the series justice, with the two characters portrayed charmingly and humorously. Mando is depicted with his Beskar helmet, while his armor is made of Durasteel. As the head is naturally the defining element of a BrickHead, I can imagine that many viewers may not even notice this at first.

I also really like Grogu and his egg. The shape is great and, compared to Mando, much too large in scale. These kinds of distortions are what we want to see in BrickHeadz: Grogu is much too big, the rifle on Mandos back on the other hand is much too small.

This is the typical Brickhead humor that works well, as always.
