LEGO - Star Wars™ UCS Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder | Set 75341

There are quite a few things that speak in favor of UCS Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder. The shapes are generally well done, and the included minifigures are not numerous, but a real highlight. The C-3PO is probably the best of its kind. The new windshield is also impressive.

Apart from that, it becomes difficult though. Although the shapes are well done, the set is far too simple in its design and lacks detail. The dented look of the original is not represented. Lots of stickers try to cover that up but fail miserably.

This is not a set where you wish for prints instead of stickers, but a brick-built design that is appropriate to the price and the claim to be a UCS set.

Even worse, I found the colorful piece madness in this set. This is always an annoyance with LEGO, but especially in this set. Granted, unlike with the Razor Crest, you won’t see them later.

I also don’t find the set reasonable priced by LEGO. Either calculated per piece or gram, UCS Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder is currently the most expensive UCS set and there is no justification for that.
