Mould King - Rolle Coaster | Set 11012

The Rolle Coaster by Mould King demonstrates primarily in terms of price what is still possible in 2023. For less than 200 euros, we get a fully functional rollercoaster including electrification. However, the set also has some weaknesses in the material.

I couldn’t get the cars to complete a full round without the use of some oil, which I had never had to do before. The tracks do not hold well in some places, and the large green base Plates have their own problems. Even more problematic is the lack of spare pieces. The set uses rubber bands in some places, which are also under high stress. Additionally, there is the very long Chain with over 240 links, which is also heavily strained. No spare pieces are included for either of these.

Apart from that, it is a really cool set, and once you get the system up and running, it is a lot of fun to watch the cars whizzing around. The instructions are not easy to read in a few places, but they work. The regular pieces are once again from GoBricks and are of very good quality.

In summary, it is a set for which you need to be willing to tinker around and probably eventually source your own spare pieces. “Unpack, build, and off you go” is not the motto here.

The numerous weaknesses certainly do not make it a perfect set, but the very good price makes up for a lot.
