Opinion
I’m really not a fan of dinosaur brick sets, but I really liked the Spinosaurus by Panlos, especially since it was my first set from this manufacturer. Although the color is certainly unusual, I’m quite impressed with the overall design. The clever use of Slopes creates a look that combines smooth shapes with a practically studless appearance. Unlike their colleagues at LEGO, the Panlos designers were not limited by the colors of the pieces, which I really like. This dinosaur doesn’t need to live with joints in Light Bluish Gray | Medium stone grey.
The quality of the pieces is excellent, Panlos is one of the best manufacturers in this regard. The fact that the eyes are printed completes the good overall impression, although the color here is also a bit unusual.
On the other hand, the instructions were again the low point of the set, with often catastrophically wrong angles. It always surprises me that a manufacturer who produces such good pieces doesn’t invest a certain amount of care in the instructions.
