Opinion

The Steampunk Series-Clock Tower Park by Pantasy is just as successful as the Steampunk Series-Railway Station set. However, Steampunk is rather difficult to find here. Especially the car ruins the impression a bit. You never really know where the set is supposed to be going. There is some Victorian Architecture, some Steampunk with a few gears here and there, but also a bit of a grandfather clock with the funny mechanical movement that was installed.

But if you don’t let that discourage you, we have another really good set here. There are loving details like the telephone booth, a mountain of Metallic Gold pieces, funny building techniques in the facade, and a quite challenging mechanical construction thanks to the movement.

The parts from GoBricks are a lot of fun again and the instruction manual is very good and answers all questions, although it is not available digitally.

I suspect that this set will not convince true Steampunk fans. Although the mechanical movement works, the built-in pullback motor can only keep the construction running for a few moments, and you also have to tinker a bit until it runs smoothly.

Pantasy more than makes up for the small problems with a very good retail price of around $120.
